Tribes, Starring Mare Winningham, Extends Off-Broadway

Nina Raine’s Tribes has extended at off-Broadway’s Barrow Street Theatre. Starring Mare Winningham and Russell Harvard, Tribes was originally scheduled to run through June 2. The production, directed by David Cromer, will now run through September 2.

Tribes tells the story of Billy (Harvard), a deaf man who was raised in an outspoken hearing family. When he falls in love and learns sign language for the first time, Billy finally discovers what it means to be understood.

In addition to Winningham and Harvard, Tribes stars Jeff Perry, Gayle Rankin, Will Brill and Susan Pourfar.
